Offline | Anyone in the UK leasing their car? Hi all, I'm getting far too excited over the Mini - and I haven't even ordered one yet! ;-) Well I'll try and explain what I want to know. Basically my boss said that instead of a pay-rise they'd be happy to give me a company car. Well, needless to say I immediately knew what I wanted - a Indi Blue Mini Cooper. The problem is I have got some quotes for leasing the car from the local Mini Dealers (Chandlers Brighton and Chandlers Worthing) and they all seem incredibly expensive. For example on a 36 month, 12k miles/year, non maint lease they are quoting me £296+vat for a basic Cooper with no options. This seems a little expensive, as if I do a personal contract thingy I can get the same car on the same terms for £202+vat (albeit with a £1,700 deposit - which isn't reallya problem and certainly doesn't add up to £94 / month for three years). Maybe they're not quoting me for the right finance package - I explained to them that I wanted no deposit, 36 monthly payments and then a final payment if we kept the car - that's contract hire isn't it? I also explained that the priority was keeping the monthly payments as low as possible. So in essence what I am asking is does anyone else have their car as a company car, and if so how much are the monthly payments - also what did you ask for when you talked to the dealer. Hope there's someone who can help me - I want my car NOW! ;-) Cheers, Ben |

Offline | An update. Just got a quote back from a leasing company called CarMyke Leasing (http://www.carmyke.co.uk/) who quoted me £190.87 for the base Cooper, and £209.46 for the Cooper with a Chilli Pack. It's looking better, though I'd still be interested in what other people are paying. Ben |
