loss of radio reception

When any charger is plugged in the cigarette lighter the radio reception gets worse and if a dash cam is placed on the screen the reception is lost.

Ive tried several chargers Inc a genuine Tom Tom charger and two dash cams that are OK in other cars, but its always the same. Charging a mobile phone does it too.

I tried hard wiring in a 12 - 5v charger and that was the same.

My conclusion is that the fault is with the car, which is a R52 with factory sat nav.

Has anyone got any suggestions what to look at please?

Plugging something in like that shouldnt affect the radio reception, though I know the aerial does also work through the printed screen elements at the rear as well as the roof aerial.

Is your roof aerial ok? the mast does screw off to remove it, if youre taking it into car washes and the like so it doesnt get damaged say, I know the screw connection can rust in place and this might have an effect on the reception if yours has??
Check you roof aerial would be the first thing to do I think, unless you have?
