The main thing to do here is ask your dealer for a list of options for YOUR car, they can plug it in and tell you in a matter of minutes. Offline | Opening of all windows (and sunroof if fitted). Basically you can (either/or) hold the key in the unlock position, hold down the unlock button, and the windows roll down/sunroof open if you've got one. ![]() Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Offline | audible low fuel ... can be programed (at least on my 03 MCS - 12/02 build). If you have it programmed the chime will bong when the red light comes on that indicates you are low on fuel. It also will chime everytime you start the car and the fuel level is at or below the red light stage. It is the same chime sound that is made when the ext temp falls below 38 degrees F. |

Offline | At MINI of San Francisco, I got my salesman to fax me the program checklist today, so I can have my car ready for Wednesday pickup (moved from Tuesday, probably to coincide with Wednesday's predicted rain), and there were only 4 options printed on the sheet, and another hand-written: Daytime Driving Lights Pathway Lighting Central Locking- Automatic locking after pulling away Selective Central Unlocking Comfort Opening After all the stuff I've read on this and other forums, I feel like I'm being given the old "mushroom treatment". I understand some options may be illegal here (i.e.: 1-touch window closing), and the trunk latch options have been problematic, but after all the cost and effort that went into the array of options, has MINIUSA just ash-canned the better part of them or is my dealer scared to try what is available? I get the feeling that some areas in the U.S. are getting more options as time goes on. The prod date was January 17th, but it was on the dock ready to ship a day or two before that. I'm having trouble finding a number for MINIUSA, so if some kind person could post it, I'll call on Tuesday and get back with any news I can glean from them. I am appreciative of any help that anyone can offer on this. Thanks, Thefreddo "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee" Izzi Knew What To Do |

Offline | Sadly, not all MINI's are created equal, which is why I make sure I add the "The main thing to do here is ask your dealer for a list of options for YOUR car, they can plug it in and tell you in a matter of minutes." disclaimer. ![]() Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Offline | I had the auto lock and unlock settings done on my One at its first service. The doors now lock when a speed of about 12 mph is reached. The first attempt to set up selective unlocking only enabled it for using the key in the door - they had to try again to enable it for the remote. The doors unlock when the ignition is turned off - not when the handbrake is applied. Logical really, as applying the handbrake could be for a hill start rather than parking. Does mean that you have to use the unlock switch to let passengers in while the engine is still running. Why can't the car be programmed to recognise your friends and unlock the door automatically?? Offline | I thought that was the case, but the options list(s) I saw said on handbrake. I'll have to correct that later. Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | what is pathway lighting? and iaa: add to that list of friend recognition: recognizing the car owner so we wouldn't have to have the key out - and, turning on the engine in bad weather as well!!! Indi Blue/white S, moon roof, DSC, fog lights |

Offline | My guess is that when people here in the States hear "follow me home" they immediately think of a stalker. That is just part of the G. Bush fear and paranoia phenomenon. We're learning to live with it... "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee" Izzi Knew What To Do |
