yes,my mini has the jcw airbox etc,but was wondering if fitting an induction kit would be worth it,i read there ad on ebay where the kit is £189+vat/pp,and they say an increase of 5/12 bhp???,now,if it WAS 12,it would be worth it,which you can only tell on a rolling road..hmmmmm,have to think bout this
I have the GTT air filter in my JCW airbox. It gives a better induction noise over the stock filter and there may have been a slight power increase and slicker revving of the engine but if there was it was fairly small.
there is a second hole in the bottom part of the filter box that can be opened up too to let more air in from the scuttle tray, I don't think they mentioned it in the link above. Once you see it then it's obvious what to remove with a dremel etc.
hi,thanks for that,i had a good chat with rick (i think) at orranje, and he told me im wasting my time with the full airbox kit, just use the itg filter, change s/c pulley, new belt and remove box flap, sounds like a really nice guy, like all those on here, very helpful, once again..many thanks
many thanks caveman, lohen do all the gear i need,cheers.....Rob
