The day my girlfriend and I pick up our new Cooper is rapidly approaching and as we only got £100 off the price of the car, we are hoping to get some good freebies from the dealer.

Do you reckon we've got less chance 'cos we are picking her up on 1st March (along with loads of others!!)?

I know it's been mentioned before, but what freebies should we be trying to squeeze out of them?!!

I did suggest my girlfriend flirts with the salesman but she didn't seem too keen - don't know why?!!

i doubt you'll get anything on the day other than a bunch of flowers.

My experience is that any freebies should have been haggled for & agreed when you placed your order, well in advance of delivery day. If you're picking up 1st march it'll be like a conveyor belt at the dealer.

I've ordered a Silver Metalic Mini with Black Granite interior - but when I arrive at the showroom to collect & see the car in all its glory knowing dam well its mine, I shall get my wife turn round to the sales guy and enquire "so where's the car then", "this aint it", We ordered "Black Metalic with Silver Interior" - "I'm not having it". And after shes torn a strip off me infront of the sales guy for ordering the "wrong colour", I shall get her to lift the boot! "and wheres the ****in CD Changer then" she will scream. No doubt an icey silence will follow but we will belatedly agree to take the car, but on the condition that they throw some extra's in, like a cheap CD changer, after all we did order it!!! not

we did get £100 off but I thought "hey! got £100 off - let's add ASC+T to the list!!!"

So I suppose it's really ASC+T that we got for free! - still not bad though!

why are peeps struggling to get freebies!

We got the sunroof, Climate Control, SAT Nav thrown in & they discounted £500 off the list price. Also nothing to pay until 2005 with free fuel for 2003 (hahah rover) and free insurance - free AA road cover, TLC Pack++ (includes service & free overnight stay at the Hyatt).

But they would'nt budge on the Matts n Flaps!
And they would'nt give any free air for my tyres!
