Offline | I'm an ex MINI Owner. Car sold to the dealer in Milton Keynes (which is a huge relief). ETA on the Cooper S is 14th March 2003 (which at least is something to look forward to). Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | Everything to do with it. Lets just say I was (and am) disgusted at 'service' recieved (as well as very upset with the issues I have had with my Cooper) and enough was enough. It's ended better than it looked like doing for a long while, and I hope my Cooper S is a much better car (and I believe it will be, just don't let me down BMW/MINI). ![]() Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Offline | Congrats Paul! The wait until March 14th must be unbeareable!!! I have to wait until October as I have decided to go for a '04 MCS instead. My dealer will put me down for a September production slot. I think it will be worth it waiting for the '04 model. Again congratulations and remember that a follow up write up and some pics are REQUIRED! ![]() '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

Offline | Sorry to hear about your problems with the Cooper, Paul. Hope you have better luck with the 'S'. March 14th is only 23 days away - it'll be worth the wait. Regards ANT ANTBLACKMINIONEANDBRGMiniCooper. |

Offline | I really hope (and am sure) your S will be perfect. Sorry to hear about your cooper though. Enough has been said already about the MINI problems, but there is much irony in the fact that you as MINI guru have had your fair share of troubles. An awesome car that BMW/MINI must get right. If "they" know its going to be your S, I hope they super check the car before delivery! Best of luck with your upcoming arrival. ![]() Roblad New MINI....more than the sum of its parts. |

Offline | Trouble is, this experience with my and Abi's MINI does make you almost feel "What's going to happen with the S then?!", but I've got a few weeks to brush those fears aside and enjoy it when it comes. Offline | Paul, You're new 'S' will not be perfect. But it will put a big smile on your face and I am sure you will love it. I personally wouldn't want to own a completly faultless car, then it really would be a BMW in all but name... aim for 98% satisfaction, live with the other 2% as at least your car will have 'personality'. Dealer satisfaction involves too many human elements to achieve perfection. What spec are you going for? Is there a thread that will quickly tell me the history of your last Mini's problems? Would love to read up on it..... |
