Gutted

Brand new Cooper, off the forecourt, down the road, car in front flicks a stone up - chips bonnet just above bumper. Get home, park and study chip. Decide to phone garage to get some touch-up paint. While on phone, watching car out of window some old bint lets her scruffy ugly mongrel jump up on bonnet of car, she pulls it off. Result, three gouges down front of bonnet (6 inches). I ran out of house after getting off the phone. Needless to say ugly mutt and her dog of a handler had f****d off.

As i said. Gutted.

ew! can you fill the gouges yourself?
keep your eyes open for the owner and dog - they probably have a regular route - i'd do it on foot though, to avoid recognition by the mutt (he obviously has good taste in cars)

At least you were going to buy some touch up paint anyway.

Angry

That is not a nice experience to have on day one of ownership

If the scratches and stone chip are rough to the feel with the flat of your hand they may be too deep for touch up paint to cover effectively However, I've used a compnay called ChipsAway when I had some stone chips and scuff repairs needed on my RB5WR. The guy who covers Essex did an excellent job and the repair was completely invisible Have a look on their web site at www.chipsaway.co.uk and get the number of their local rep from there. From memory it costs c£75 +vat per panel so you should be paying c£90 inclusive to clear up the marks you describe.

Hope this helps,

Regards

You horrible horrible man! Hitting a dog with a 5 iron is just horrible! Can't beleive you can get away with saying than on here!!!! People like you disgust me!

Why waste a perfectly good 5 iron!!! Use something less valuable like a pointy stick! Easy to find and cheaper!!

LOL @ Damo!

I don't think my Lynx clubs are compatible with dogs... I'll leave them for my Tiger Woods sessions!

Baseball bats are always good!

sorry to hear tha m8 - but I can't believe you let them get away. If I watched from my window some dog jumping on my car I certainly would not hang about to finish the phone call! and after I had pegged it the 350 meters to the end of my mansions private drive I would of hammered both owner & mutt in the face with a half brick and asked questions later!

I don't condone violence of any sort.

A quiet word with the dogs owners and the presentation of the bill should be enough

Surely the 5 iron would be for the owner, not the dog!? The dog is after all just a dumb stupid brainless animal. Or was that the owner?

If its a big dog, get your lawyer involved. If its a small dog, buy/rent a BIG dog. Get big dog to eat little dog.
