United-Kingdom Dent Nightmare

I fear i've been a little stupid today. I went outside in the sun to wash my beloved car and accidently bashed the jet spary nossle against the drivers door. At first I thought nothing of it.

It wasn't until i was drying the car that i noticed that I'd created a very small dent/scratch in the drivers door. It is very small, and the dent can only be seen when you look at the door in the light at an angle. But the car is my pride and joy, and the fact that i've caused this damage just makes me feel even worse. When i run my fingers over the dent i can feel it is ever so lightly scratched as well.

Can anyone recommend ways to get rid of the dent? Is it likely to be an easy job or expensive. Should i just pretend it doesn't exsist and get on with life?(A difficult option) Has anyone else accidently self-mutalated their mini?

I've only had the car five months!! Its always the way.

I understand exactly what you are going through. I accidentally did a lane change behind a grit truck as he was turning it on and put a couple of chipe in the paint work on the hood the other morning. Will have to wait till the weather warms so I cam apply touch up paint.

As to your problem. Here in Toronto we a have a company called dent wizards. They are also in the UK here is the web site: http://www.dentwizard.com/
They look okay and maybe able to help you.

Good luck,

Charles.

If you've got sun today, no sympathy from me. Oops, you said you damaged your MINI. My apoligies, I have lots of sympathy now that you mention it.

Accordint to the Book of motoring, "Don't freak out if your MINI gets a nick or a ding. Just think of them as scars. And as most people will tell you, scars are sexy. Tehy tell as story. They're evidence of an active life. A life worth living."

Guess who lowered his MINI onto a jackstand not quite clear of the car. Know the feeling.

Neat little scratch-dent that was not entirely noticable. But I coulda killed myself for being such an idiot. Dent wizard made it better while it was in for deer damage repair. I second the motion to give them a whirl.

Bet you felt really p***ed off

Dent Master do a really good job as do Chips Away I think they are National companies (franchises).

I caught my S putting it into the garage and I felt the same as you. I got the bumper painted cos I didn't think it looked all that sexy

Now its fine

Hope this is of use m8

I like the door ding I have. Mostly because I didn't think they were worth the $150 or something I was quoted for their removal. Maybe that's what MINI meant in the motoring manual. I was very annoyed when I found some insensative clod had opened their door into my car though, but I got over it.

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.

I have.. and with the nozzle on the hose too! Recently, while washing my car I went to "set the hose down" and I accidently set the metal nozzle down on my rim! My word was I ****ed off.. but I've gotten over it. Just the sheer fact that I know I can get it repaired has made me not want to repair it any time soon. You can't really see it unless you know its there, hence I'm the only person who sees it.

Know the feeling, I have been so particular as to where I park, so much so I'm annoying myself. Then last weekend I parked in an end spot, all the way on the far line, I saw someone pull up through the store window, but looked like the didnt open their door wide at all, when I went to leave, she had parked over the line and into my spot, her car a primer piece of ... I looked and saw nothing, then that night, I found it, granted you can only see it if you move back and forth on the reflection, but I know its there. Looking back its probably best I didnt notice it in the parking lot, I knew who it was, she stood next to me in the store. The flood of violent thoughts still periodically trickle through my mind. I dont know how I would have reacted to her. Its a dent, only I see it, dent wizard says $100. I havent decided whether or not to get it fixed, if I do next time I will have to go through this all again. Its comforting to read "Ive gotten over it". Why does this car demand such devotion, it must just be that special.....
