Roads made for MINI

Thought it might be fun to start a thread to discuss roads that are made for the MINI. (I think there was something similar awhile back, but couldn't find it in any searches). Here's one I've heard of, though never driven it, that I was reminded of by a post in the MINIUSA.com owner's network forums (apparently there's a MINI-only rally there coming up- neat!).

If you don't want to count, that's 318 turns in 11 miles, and lots of ups-n-downs to boot. Looks like fun! Anyone got some other favorites?

Edit: Err, didn't realize those pics were so big, sorry! Is there any way to shrink them down a bit?

Yah, I tihnk that's when the post in the OL said it was. Hadn't sen the post here, must be in the regional section (which I wouldn't have ssen since I'm not in that region ). By the way, I forgot to credit www.tailofthedragon.com for the pics, and ther's lots of other info on this road and others there too.

I didn't count the turns but CA 49 from Sierraville, CA to Nevada City, CA is 80 plus smiles of twisted road that should make any MINI happy. The same CA 49 from Auburn, CA to Placerville, CA is also great but heavily traveled by slow SUVs.

Hmm, maybe visiting my brother-in-law in Nevada City ain't such a bad idea after all.

The camping is great around the Bassett's Station area just outside of Sierra City. Too much snow there now but around Memorial Day it's usually cleared. Can't wait to go up there.
