Hey everyone,

this past saturday (march 8) i took my Cooper S along with two friends, one civic and one mustang to Deals Gap in North Carolina/Tennessee. It was a lot of fun, 318 turns in 11 miles! I mounted a camera in my back seat and had my girlfriend use the other camera from the front and rear cars. We got some interesting footage which i am putting together onto a DVD. I didn't see any MINI's during my 4 runs, but i saw a lot of Miata's and Speedbikes :-) did anyone happen to see my IB/W S?? i would like to get some ideas/feedback for my DVD. right now i have a bunch of still pictures, and footage of driving by, idling, sitting in the driver seat etc. along with my 1 and a half hours of footage from the run (of which i have chosen only about 30 mins to use in the final cut) it will be a quick and informative DVD with a menu that will include basic info, MINI's handling, a making-of, and outtakes if i can muster up enough. post here if you would be interested in getting a copy of the movie when it is done, and if you have suggestions, i'm open to them! Thanks! :-)

Deals Gap! Haven't been but have read a lot and seen some Miata websites that tell about it. Your idea sounds great. A thought though: I almost didn't look at this thread because the title didn't get my interest. I wonder if you changed the title if you would get more hits as this thread may be of interest to many.

sdmidget: no i actually did not know about that run...but now i do! are you going to go? i might if the date is open, haven't checked yet...

obehave: yes, thank you for the tips, i actually just did that (still frame of the first frame in the video with titles) on another project i'm working on. and i though...how interesting that would be on the MINI video!

C C Mini: you should come down south for a short trip, we can go to Deals Gap :-) yeah, i guess i could change it, but i can't think of anything. i'll keep thinking....

Yes, I'll be there. As of last Thursday, there were at least 36 MINIs on the "confirmed" list.

Duboy, did this video actually get made? I've never been down there, but some co-worker sport bike riders have done it and were more than impressed!

hey Steve, i'm Steve :-) nice to meet you. yes actually the video was completed and burned onto 1 DVD...then i killed my Mac, and lost all the project data. i have the DVD, do you want a copy? (i'll have to look for it, i just moved recently, but i'm sure i've got it handy) it's basically a 30minute info DVD with driving clips, and tech clips etc.
