Here is a cut and paste from vespa's post over in the INTERIOR AND ICE section:

This is the actual computer printout from my 01/24/2003 MCS, transcribed verbatum. I have a US spec with Xenon's, foglights, and no sunroof. Explanations as I understand them are at the bottom. Defaults are noted.

Acoustic Warnings

Fuel Warning (not active)

Does this mean what I think it means? Can they program the acoustic warning to actually make a SOUND when the low fuel light illuminates?

That would be novel!
Are the Euro versions programmed as such?

My mom's Neon makes a *bing* when it's low fuel light comes on. Pretty cool little feature if you ask me.

It's probably a feature that can be turned on and off by your dealer.

Igor has this on his car.

On Igors though it normally scares the cr** out of Igor as it the same noise as a more serious fault.

When I first test drove an S it gave an audible warning when the fuel got low; must be programmable then.
