Offline | Seatbelt Warning My seatbelt warning light comes on when the car starts and then goes off, regardless of whether I have my seat belt on. I raised this with the dealer and he said it wasn't a fault. I said 'My 10 year old Honda's light stayed on until I put my seatbelt on', he replied 'That was a ten year old Honda, this is a MINI'. I am convinced it should stay on until my seatbelt is on. Should it? It is a SATNAV car but the light should function the same Jeremy |

| MINI2 Regular | I have raised the same concerns with my MINI Centre and we went round every MINI in the place and tried each one. With a slight variance in time, without exception all the seat belt lights went out without the seat belt being fastened. Would appear to be a design flaw. ![]() Black Jack |

| The Power Cube | No, it's not a design fault. The light is simply indicating that the seatbelt pre-tensioners are being checked. when the light goes out, all is OK. If the light stays on then there is a problem. MINI should have been able to tell you this though. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | I love SAt NAV and this version is just as good as any. My old system had remote control which I miss a bit and it doesn't tell you the predicted time of arrival. Also on my old system you could push a button and it would put a memory point in then and there. I also miss not being able to just 'clear route' but as some of the guys on here have advised you can do it by re-entering the country. Fiddly but it works. It doesn't do TV but I would get it if I could. I'm not sure MINI offer it at the moment and I don't want an aftermarket solution! |

Offline | Not really thread related (more Dealership feedback) but as you boys mentioned it I bought my Cooper from Rydale Central as well. Jay sorted me out last year with my Cooper. The Service department there have been helpful too -had quite a few visits back for the first couple of months. Offline | Maybe it's just me, but do you really need a light to remind you whether or not you have your seatbelt on? That seems pretty redundant to me, like hanging a sign above your front door to remind you to put on your shirt, or something. I would hope anyone driving a car should be aware enough of their own body and it's immediate surroundings that they could tell whther or not they were buckled up... PigLick |
