I hope the waving thing holds on. The way i see it is that people who don't wave, are often the people who bought the car because it was a trend, not because of its great performance or famous heritge, so they dont bother waving.

I still wave at everyone i see, i even took a wrong turn to catch up to a silk green cooper and waved .

Keep waving,
Andrew

people that don't wave or flash lights don't deserve one.

MINI sightings continue to be rare here in Rochester, NY. Nearest dealer is in Buffalo, 60 miles away. I see another MINI every few days, most times the same couple of cars.

Chili Red / Black Roof Cooper "S", delivered Aug 5, 2002.

Oh I don't know, I kinda like the idea of being a trendsetter for once in my life.

Hehe.. I got my first wave from a EB/W MCS today after getting my windows tinted I was going down the road and noticed the EB/W MCS got behind me. I gave him a wave up up near my rear view mirror and he gave me the peace sign He then drove past me and I think gave me the hang loose sign. It was a really cool moment and restored my faith in the MINI drivers here in SoCal. I was a little bit embarrassed though, since the EB/W MCS was spotless and Beepers was dirty. Although, I planned on washing her later on today when the sun isn't blazing as much.

Keep at it Digi . . . I am in Irvine. I don't think I have seen you yet, but if I am in a possition where i can make eye contact I always wave and try to flash (if safe).

I have not only been seeing more new MINI's on the road, but an unexpected number of classic MINI's too. Someone at my office had a '67 R/W "S" in the lot. There is also a classic MINI wagon running around Irvine.

Someone in my building has a new BRG/W "S". I left my card and a note, but no reply. Probably doesn't wave either.

I live in a suburb of Detroit, MI and have seen only 2 MINIs in the past 6 months. But then what would you expect living in UAW labor country. But that is great with me because that is one of the reasons I am buying a MINI (ordered 1/25, delivery in early June)...they are extremely rare in these parts. So my MINI should stand out. After all, everyone around here either drives a Mustang, Focus (YUKE!), big pick-up (DUMB) or a SUV.

Can't wait to get my baby!! I have been counting the days.

Hey there,

I got my tint done at www.tintplus.com a formula one tint film dealer. I am located in Laguna hills so the shop I used is about 50+ miles north of you. Also, since the tint is fresh on my car there is slight bubbles and moister. This disapears in a few days to a week, and is typical. Formula one tint films are quality films and come w/ a lifetime warranty. The facilities that use Formula one have to be specially trained in order to be apply the product. I got good professional service, and the people at tint plus were very helpful. I had the back windows tinted 15% and the front passenger and driver tinted at 38% which is illegal here in calli, yet I was told that you can slip by with it at your own risk.
