Offline | Mileage/Length of Ownership I'd be interested to know what mileage you guys expect to get out of your cars, perhaps over how long, before you part exch. Does this vary with what model we have? It was mentioned as a side issue on another thread that some guys had done well over 100k in previous cars and might be expecting a similar life out of their MINI. If this is the general feeling I need to adjust my mindset. "I get by with a little help from my friends" |

Offline | I plan to keep my Cooper for about 3 years/30,000 miles. After that point BMW should be bringing out the first true revision of the car (with the new, non-Chrysler engine), and I'll prpbably move on to one of them. |

Offline | I don't see any reason my MCS won't last 150,000+ km before needing any serious engine work. regular (i.e. <<< than 15,000 km) oil changes is the key in my mind aka KWKSLVR Member: Southern Ontario MINI Club BMW Club of Canada - Trillium Chapter |

Offline | I've had mine 9 months, and I've put 13,800 km on the clock. As I expected. Not sure what the plan is for this car yet, I'm planning to keep her as she is a limited edition. Then I'll probably buy a Cooper S as a second car maybe in a year or two. This car will get me enough speeding tickets ![]() ![]() 2003 B/B Cooper S. Premium. Sport. Sunroof. |

Offline | Based on past ownership of brand new cars (average years to mileage), I expect to have the MCS for at least 5 years and at least 125K miles. ...now my 2 girls are already fighting over who gets it when I'm finished with it ![]() Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable! |

Offline | Thanks guys, various views there, then. Personally was thinking around 3/4 year, 30/40 k mark, and/or taking into consideration the arrival of the mark 2 around 2006/2008 time, with presumably its new engine. Enjoy. "I get by with a little help from my friends" |
