Offline | Traction Control ON or OFF ? Ive just noticed that in the MC manual it tells you that the TRACTION CONTROL is on all the time and to turn it off the light comes on. Well this is totally the opposite for my MC as when the light is on the TRACTION is on and when it is off the light is off and flickers when it needs traction on. Seems stupid but has anyone elso noticed this or is my MC just weird? ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | If the light is on solid then either the traction control is turned off or there is a problem with it. Normally the light is off but flashes when traction is low and the system is intervening. Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! Offline | The manual is correct. When you turn traction control off, the light comes on to warn you it is off. When it is on the light flickers when it is activated. Dean MCS CR/W with bonnet stripes, DSC, full leather, MPSW, alarm. trip computer, X-Lites Superduperminicooperexpertengineering |

Offline | Re: Traction Control ON or OFF ? The manual says nothing of the sort. What the manual does say is that the traction control is on all the time (which is true). When the traction control is on, the light remains OFF. When you manually turn the traction control off via the switch, the light will come on STEADY to indicate that the system is turned OFF. When you see the traction control light flashing, this is because the system is actively working at that very second to control your traction (i.e. you are spinning a wheel or something). Once traction has been regained, the light will stop flashing and go out. |
