Offline | New goodie catalogues and JCW kit prices! I received in the post from my dealer this morning some new goodie catalogues! Also they have the prices and parts for the JCW kits. They are doing an intoductory offer of £1950 fitted. Don't think I'll bother, but I may go for the new silver Union Jack roof though!! ![]() |

Offline | I have a silver/black union jack on my silver/ black Cooper and it does look really good, had zero negative comments people seem to love it and it really makes the car look that little bit different from all the other silver/black coopers. Are they selling parts seperatly as in the indution kit or is it the works package or nothing? |

Offline | I phoned JCW a while back and asked whether they would do me an induction kit / exhaust combo seperately from the rest of the kit, and at that time it was a no-no, a position which they said they were going to review in March 2003.... I hope they do sell the parts individually as I'm after the ported, polished and gas-flowed Works cylinder head - I'm not brave enough to mod the engine itself and lose the warranty just for a few more HP! Worth giving JCW a call though - 01903 784784 is the number to dial if you're in the UK. MINI Going.....Toyota Supra RZ-S Twin Turbo Coming....Standing Quarter, anyone....? |

Offline | There's info about the tuning kit on the John Cooper web site. It seems that £1950 fitted is a good price Not sure I'll bother though. Anyone know which mod. gives the best oomph per £ ?ian |

Offline | Love the look of the silver Union Jack roof decal, think it would look good on my silver/black cooper too. My only concern is if it would be detrimental to resale value as it's probably not everyone's cup of tea. Anyone know if they are removable at a later date? Offline | They can be removed not sure if you would be able to tell with paint fade or not though. But trust me it looks great and will problably help sell the car it is nice and subtle compared with other designs/ |

Offline | Is it just me or does the price for the Cooper works kit sound very expensive for what power output you get. Surely it would be better to save your cash and buy the Cooper S instead? |

Offline | Probably a superchip, but that invalidates ur waranty, Exhaust and a cone filter like the pipercross or K&N makes a fair difference and most dealers dont seem bothered about them being installed. Skinnyrunt had his cooper on a rolling road recently with just a filter an performace exhaust and that was producing 126bhp ![]() |

Offline | Would tend to disagree with that; have found that chips tend to iron out flat spots more than anything else, so you might get a power gain at certain points through the rev range, but not as a whole. I would chop the OE exhaust downpipe and go for a Superflow / Milltek job - in fact, I have done this, and the Cooper seems to have a lot more poke for doing that. Now all I need to do is get me on a rolling road! Good thing about doing the downpipe as well is that your warranty should remain undamaged - mine wasn't affected as I checked before I modified! Offline | The price was better than I posted! It was from a letter from my dealer: I do think it's still too expensive for the gains made though! It would only cost me around £2500 to change to an "S". ![]() |

Offline | Any pics of your car? ![]() By the way, my dealer tells me that although the computer is telling them they have loads in stock at BMW/MINI, the roof decals are on hold for some reason? ![]() |
