Offline | How entirely delightful. MINI has me completely hooked on their customer care. Heck, I already bought the car; they didn't need to do that. But it's a great gesture, and some of the things in the kit are really useful, some are entirely whimsical, and some are just downright sweet. Three cheers for MINI! |

Offline | This is the contents: - One hard bound notebook with elastic to keep it closed. - One ballpoint pen with moving MINI - Roadside Assistance card - Two Highway bingo cards (keeps the kiddies occupied, so they're not always asking "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?") - MINI Messaging Kit, for leaving messages on your dash. - Top ten idiosyncrasies of your new MINI - One black MINI rubberband - One MINIgear brochure For scale purposes, the MINI Messaging Kit is in a CD jewel case. |

Offline | Often when I get stuff in the mail it is just an empty box or envelope from Mini. Usually the contents have been remove prior to it getting to me. It seems like someone else likes mini stuff too. I can't and most likely will never figure out who is ripping my mail open. I think it is happening at the post office as seeing that the mail man shoves the mail through my door. I have e-mailed mini every time it has happened and they have never got back to me. Still love my car, service at the dealer is great Charles BRG/W MCS |

Offline | fwiw, i received this package some (3-ish) months after picking up my MINI. it seems they sent them out in batches as people received them around the same time. i'm guessing it was time for another batch to go out .as the top poster pointed out, i already bought the car - they didn't have to do that. i'd wager new benz/jaguar/etc owners aren't even treated that well, at triple the cost of car. correct me if i'm wrong. cooper s '05 x brg/white/chrome, cordoba/anthracite/chrome, flik wasp 17x7 x delivered july 26th 2005 cooper '02 replaced x brg/white, R83 white, chrome, cordoba x built june 21st, arrived july 15th on the traviata, delivered july 26th 2002 |

Offline | Took delivery of my car January 17, 2003. Bought it off the lot in Cleveland, so they've only had me in their system since that date. For tip in Toronto having the theft problem, tampering with the mail is a federal crime, and is taken pretty seriously in the U.S. I don't know about Canada, and of course we don't actually know where the tampering is occuring, but if I were you I'd also report it to MINI, and to the US Postal Service if the mail originates in the States. I hope they catch 'em. |

Offline | I never thought of contacting the authorities. I am sure the tampering of mail is taken seriously here as well. But as you said we have no idea where the tampering is taken place. The only thing that seem to be affected is the mail I get from mini. All other mail seems to be intact. I will try to contact Mini once more. Thanks for your concern Charles BRG/W MCS |

| MINI2 Senior | Sorry Andrew - but that email tax thing is one of the longer running internet hoaxes out there. Has it resurfaced again to unnecessarily enrage a whole new group of people? ![]() ![]() Dave Gotten anything useful from MINI2? How about giving a little something back? | MINI2 Regular | I'm slightly dissapointed! It seems as if our American cousins are getting a lot of fun free stuff! Granted, I've gotten a little brochure, CD, and some cute jokes. I've also gotten a few magazines - but nothing that fun! Has anyone else in Canada gotten something similar? How about in other countries? I think there might be another thread about all this - if so, sorry... |

Offline | Call me a synical killjoy if you like, but I would imagine that the whole point of this marketing ploy is to get you to read the last item on the list, the MINIgear brochure, so that you then spend your hard earned money on dubious Minigear. Mini Cuckoo clock etc, I ask you...... |
