# questions, need your help, yes YOU - MINI Cooper Forum

Hey, I'm considering the purchase of a new mini cooper s and have a few questions, and yes I've tried searching extensivley already ... thanks in advance for your help.

1) CAn I please see some pictures of leatherette. The leather is too expensive but I wanted to see what the faux leather looks like before purchasing it. Is it as tightly fitting as the normal leather?

2) I've seen 2 different armrest solutions, 1 had a cellphone built in, the second had some storage and was screwed into the back cupholder. What else is out there for armrests?

3) I have an i-pod and it hooked up into my jetta very nicely with some adaptationa and a fair number of wires. The power source was a 12 volt in the trunk and I hooked the i-pod into the back of my HU with an adapter. Has anyone undertaken something like this with their mini yet? Also where can I mount the i-pod on the dash so it looks good and doesn't interfere with controls?

As for your leatherette question. If you're in the Toronto area the Southern Ontario Mini Club is meeting on the 26th.

You may want to join us If you have any questions. The leatherette fits just fine, it looks, smells, and feels like really leather.

As for your other questions I can't help you.

I think the leatherette is tighter fitting than leather.Same leatherette as BMW

nice, yah letherette is what I'll be getting then, 2200 dollars (canadian) is just crazy, plus the letherette looks great. I will post my ipod question in the interior and ice forum, thanks a lot. Alright just one question left, armrests, anything out there besides the 2 I mentioned above. thanks again, wow those replies came fast.
