Offline | When you stop, just hit the unlock toggle switch on the console. This will unlock all the doors and the boot. You can then open the boot via the handle above the license plate. No need to stop the engine. |

Offline | Paul - I think we've just found another difference between the US and the UK spec MINIs : I can flick the unlock toggle at any time and the doors + hatch will unlock (I have auto-lock at 9mph feature enabled, if that makes a difference). Offline | You being in the UK you would of thought that it would be the American cars that would have to be turned off before the car can be unlocked not the other way around. Makes no sense. If the American market required that the car had to be swithched off prior to unlocking I wouldn't even question it. Go figure? Charles Lets keep quiet just in cases an American lawyer is online ready to make a quick buck making all our live miserable by suing Mini and forcing the American market to turn off there car prior to unlocking. I can see it happening now! BRG/W MCS |

Offline | hey nuke, Is your interior leather, leatherette, or cloth? I love those door panels and the red seats. I was thinking of getting PS or JB with black interior. I may get the PS with the red after seeing yours! Do you have any more pictures other than those in your gallery? Love it!!!! Last edited by nparker : Apr 3rd, 2003 at 09:38 PM. |

Offline | Opening Boot Many thanks for the replies, but i am sure i tried the toggle switch with the engine running and i think it only opened the doors, though can't be sure as i didn't try to open the boot myself, I will give it a go; Also i to have the 9 mph Auto-locking Regarding the Red Interior, the seats are Half leather (the black bits). The red on the seats is cloth and the red door panels are a hard Vinyl.I think they are a great combo If you require more pictures that is no problem the nuke Adding pictures to my Gallery all the time |

Offline | @the nuke Does your mate know that the tail door has a sensor pushbutton in the handle? Iīve often observed, especially on car dealers with many people around who are unfamiliar with the cars that this sensor thing on BMWs and MINIs has a kind of theft protection feature even when unlocked, simply because the fellows donīt know where to put their fingers to open it. ![]() Klaus Donīt bother me with: Vans, SUVs and Grandpatronic |
