Question How to disable ASC

Is there a better forum for this question?

Just taken delivery of a Cooper S.

Find the ASC way too intrusive

Could switch it off every time I drive - but wondered if anyone had found a way to disable it permanantly - either so it's off - with no option to turn it on or maybe even reverse the ASC switch function - so you have to switch it on.

Maybe there is a fuse which only operates the ASC?

Do you not have a toggle switch that can disable the ASC-T? I. My MCS has a toggle switch for the DSC, I thought it would be the same for he ASC-T?

Should be the second toggle switch from the left.

Yes I have the same switch - I meant that I wanted to find a way to get around remembering to use the switch every time I drive.

I wander if the insurance company would have anything to say if they found out that a safety device had been disconnected permenently?

I wouldn't have thought you could do it.

I presume you're not running in, or you have poorly surfaced roads? Because ASC+T shouldn't be THAT intrusive unless you're engaging in 'spirited' driving.

Paul - a bit of both - some rough roads around and running in with a bit of 'spirit' :-)
I'm used to driving fwd cars where your right foot is the asc - more fun that way ;-)

Tip - not sure what the insurance co would say - something to think about..........

Your Starsky, I mean Hutch, I mean Hunch, was correct. ASC+T is standard on the S in the UK.
