Does anyone know where I can get the half car bra that will fit a MINI with rally lights? They all seem to have the mesh in front of them.

Maybe you want to look into one of those clear bras? I think I may have to invest into a bra for when I start driving an hour on the highway each day going to university and back. I hate those nasty little stone chips.

I don't want one of the clear ones, it will deduct points at shows. I just need something for when I drive to Cali and back for various car shows.

Hmmm... this does present a dilemma. Is it possible to may cut the bra to allow the driving lights to come through?

Try www.minimania.com. They sell a full and half car bra made by Colgan Custom in California specially for the Cooper and MCS. Excellent fit and quality bra.

I bought my full bra (with license plate opening in the front) for about $99 bucks delivered to my door. Colgan Custom also makes bras of the same material to cover the exterior mirror caps for $30 a pair.

Same as you I need the Car Bra on ocassion when I head on roadtrips and I honestly don't like the clear bra stuff. have seen it many times installed and don't care for it.

The edging around that mesh should be double stitched and strong. So you could probably cut out the mesh and replace it with a 2" wide strip of tough black fabric like cordoba (backpack material). Just sew the strip to the top and bottom of the opening (so the opening is the same height as it was originally), centered so a rally light comes through in each half.

Yeah, i don't plan on keeping it on. It will only be for long distances or long highway/freeway driving.

Nice idea. Wish I'd thought of it. I've never liked the looks of bras, but I don't like retouching stone chips, either. And I've worried about scuffing and paint fade if the bra stays on all the time. You may have something here!

Will you get a custom imprint, with the MINI logo, like your headliner? A color other than black?

If i have the car bra I am going to take it off for the shows. It will only be used while driving on long distances.

Hey Sugar,

They shouldnt deduct points for the clear bra. It is technically speaking a mod on the car. I have been to numerous shows all over the country and nobody has ever been deducted that I know of.

The club I am in have three cars with it on and they always take first in the class.

I have the car bra made by Colgan Custom for the MINI Cooper and it is excellent. Just cmae back from a 600 mile roadtrip. Zero problems.
