| MINI2 Regular | Mini SUV (kayak on roof) Well the mini has to be used for something so let's make it an SUV!!! For my next trick, I will have 18 monkeys skate out of the boot on roller skates. Cheers, Neil ![]() 2002 MCS "Mouse" --"It's so cute" And Chicks dig it ![]() |

Offline | Brilliant! I think that I'm going to abandon the idea of mounting a rooftop Yakima or Thule system and just follow your lead. Looks like foam pads for putting boats on top and a Saris rack for putting bikes on the back is the best overall solution. Do you think that there is enough room to fit two boats up there? Maybe if they are turned sideways? 2003 MCS EB/W - Premium, DSC, Fogs 1966 Austin Healey 3000 mkII - garage art |

| MINI2 Regular | Thanks miniman I thought I had done enough griping here for the time being.Cooper Cooper, I think two smaller boats may doable but two larger kayaks may be slightly awkward. But always worth trying. The foam blocks I am using were specifically crafted to accomodate the "V" of a kayak, so it's a nice fit and a great alternative to a rack. The tough part is finding a place to attach straps to on the front end of the car. Cheers, Neil 2002 MCS "Mouse" --"It's so cute" And Chicks dig it ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior Derelict | Looking good Neil. My brother had a 21ft 2 person kayak that he built himself that he used to carry around on the roof of his Hyundai Accent. We were convinced that if the car ever flipped into a puddle that it would float. lol. Rendezvous is the marginally better looking sibling to the Aztek. lol ![]() |
