All... during last week I happened to be in the Oxford area, I decided to go and have a drive past the Cowley factory ( not sure that was a good idea as the next month is going to be hard enough already !! )... anyway in the car park were a couple of hundred minis ( looked to be left hand drive ) of them there were quite a few in the new gold colour which looks fantastic !!!... there were also some in what looked like a Metallic Red, kinda Burgandy colour ( not quite as sure about that ! )... but the gold looked really good... anyone who has ordered the new gold colour is going to be very pleased when it shows up !!!... just thought i'd let you all know !....

Sounds like the (not new) Velvet Red.

Glad you liked the Gold. Still not sure myself.

why not go the whole hog ?... chrome sills and wheelarches !!... seriously Gold looked very nice, I've seen an Audi TT in a very similar colour... its somewhat nicer than the "Harvest Gold" that I once had on a Ford Orion !!!

How about the gold Mini with the wood dash and gear stick? (wooden gear stick) you know what i mean and nice beige leather interior,it might appeal to a more older car buying group( don't want to come across as ageist)

There is a gold/black Cooper at my dealership in the showroom. It looks fantastic, I didn't think I'd like the colour, but its very nice indeed!
