Offline | lunatic drivers Hi, Got my Mini yesterday after an horrendous wait (I had broken my shoulder and had to wait). Dealership was great - perfect. Pleasure to deal with people who love the mini's as I do. My wife got flowers to match the car too. And what an amazing car. Can't stop grinning. But why is it that (hope you don't mind the pix attached of our new baby) that as I am trundling along (running the car in) grinning, enjoying a bit of jazz on the radio, everyone else is trying to cut me up, overtake, or worse race me at the lights. One guy, overtook me on a high street, 30 zone, (I had slowed to let some couple get across the road as they were halfway across already), and pegged it round a left turn into a major dual - road. I caught up with him at the next set of lights. He was obviously going straight on and gunning his engine as I pulled alongside on the right of him. I stared at him and he glared back making gestures ? Lights go green and in a cloud of smoke with tyres lighting up he goes for it looking and sounding like a complete ****, whilst I to his dissapointment turned right..... Mini ownership is causing me to get grey hairs after 24 hours.....I'm also worried about people 'keying' my car as I leave it on the street of a night..... Mark. |

Offline | There are way too many angry, bitter, twisted people around these days. They go out in cheap cars with big exhausts and take it out on the rest of us. Pity the Police always seem to miss them - and do the rest of us for doing 35 in a 30 zone!! (not me though..lol) There are a few after-market paint treatments that make keying a car much harder as they have titanium in them. Maybe worth looking at. I hope u never need it though. One of the first Pepper White cars i've seen on here - looks great too. ![]() " Life is too important to be taken seriously" |

Offline | Yep where ever you go you'll get i get it every day uin my s would love to say that i never retort but hey if i am by myself some times i let the s of its leash. Had a guy in a impreza over take me in a thirty with a whoosh of his dump valve and lookingh over like hey look at me. Next round about second gear foot down ba by geezs if your gong to be a prat do it rightand be able to drive I AM NOT SAYING I CAN BEAT A IMPREZZA but most of the guys that cut us up seem to have a really big chip on their shoulder and are pretty poor drivers. Oh well they can kill their car while i turn up the stereo and kick back and enjoy the stares. And a note to all those who commit the atacks " It cant be easy being so Chessy" kev |

Offline | thepritch Admitadly I like a bit of racin but only at midnight in an industrial park where there is no one who doesn't want to be there. But the reason he raced you of the lights is because you gave him the glare , i know it sounds stupid but to him that would of ment you want a race. If you hadn't of looked across I dow't he would of bothered. Cooper S : Dark silver, white roof |

Offline | I don't know about you boys in the states but over here it seems to be lotus elise's and audi TTs that have the axe to grind. Some days you feel like driving like a snail and sometimes like schumacher. EB/W MCS. outguns AUDI TT's on the straight..........sometimes. |
