You should have a button or a switch, identified by an 'A' in a circle, depending on your model. Stop/start will only work when conditions are suitable, including engine temperature and battery condition.
I've got a 2008 clubby had it about two weeks now, and the first time yesterday the start/stop work. shock the hell out of me when the engine die :eeksurprise:, then looked at the dash to see the stop/start. didn't even now that I had stop/start ::smile::.
Just looked at my manual, and it says the Automatic Start/stop button is the middle button down by the gear stick and cup holders.
I also should have auto start-stop on my 2011 Cooper D. I have the button by the cup holders. It also does not work. To activate it, do I push the button so the amber light comes on, on the button, or does this de-activate it?
Stop start on a diesel is a turbo killer. My stop start is deactivated on both cars for this very reason!
