| Damned | Introducing ... The MINIPOST Are YOU fed-up with Windscreen "So-Called Suction-Mounts" that fail to hold things Securely. After the Mount that came with the TomTom2 Ipaq-Based Sat-Nav, Kept Dropping it under the "Mildest" Bursts of Acceleration, I decided to do something about it. Meet MINIPOST {V1.0} It fits into the top Side Edge air vent mount; & then almost anything can be mounted on it after VELCRO is attatched. Full Frontal .. Ok, So my Phones about 5 years out of Date ! And for those Long Hot Sunny Days (as a passenger)... Opinions Please,... {this is my 1st attempt to post multiple pics so you may see nowt} ![]() In da Wud |

Offline | Hmmm... can I reserve judgement... until you've made me one? ![]() Seriously, great idea. Looks much more 'right' (as in made to be there) than any windscreen mount... I guess the air pressure is not so strong as to require the hole... I think I'd like one without. |

| Damned | The Hole was nothing to do with the release of air pressure but to continue to allow the Side window to be demisted. The Tube was given a coat of laquer after it had been polished to preserve the Shine. Another Use, if you want to play "Hoops" from the back seat.. or as a locator for that nice Keyring. ![]() In da Wud |

Offline | Man thats cooooolllll! questions: 1. Does it (or can it) lean toward the front of the car enough that the NAVMAN sleeve (receiver) can "see" the satellites thru the windshield? 2. How stable is it? 3. How much are you charging? ![]() Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable! |

Offline | A question, slightly off topic - where are you running the power lead for the snooper and the IPAQ, I can see the cable goes behind the rev counter and then dissapears ?? Very nice idea by the way, I have a mount in my car to hold the IPAQ+NAVMAN and the IPAQ is that heavy it kept falling off so I gave up, this idea looks great! |

| Damned | Ans. 1. Different tube curvature rqd for Navman 2. The original "Woolworths" Velcro not strong enough, so bought some Genuine heavy duty Velcro Today. 3. Theres enough info given here for anyone to make one for themselves & modify to suit their requirements. If someone wished to make & market it themselves then contact me. More info HERE , & Ive added a Cigar lighter 1-2 adaptor . Here`s a Use for when stuck in Traffic .... ![]() In da Wud |
