Gotta say I was quite dissapointed with this video chat. Not dissapointed in JCWs but with MINI - there was a ton of great questions asked which they never answered - I asked a ton of good questions about the car, kit, powerbands etc and they never asked any of them...instead they asked the same 3 questions 20 times, does it affect my warrenty, does the dealer do it, and what is the gas mileage. You have Mike Cooper available and all you do is ask him crap questions that are already known and discussed all over the internet for weeks if not months.

Agreed - lame chat. The only new thing I learned (maybe it was mentioned before) is that the JCW is always dealer-installed. That means you have to pay for 9 hours of labor no matter what.

It was pretty much what I expected based on their previous chats, you're right. Same (simple) questions many times over rather than 'getting in deep' at all.

Got some interesting views, and the funny thing is, they never REALLY answered the fuel consumption "it's pretty much the same" "within 1 or 2 miles a gallon" "no difference".... OK, we get the picture!

Still, good promo for JCW.

Had anyone previously mentioned the abrasive coating on the rotors on the new supercharger?

Larger veins, abrasive coating on the rotors, and a smaller pulley and belt.

Also, the 7 bhp gain from the head modifications alone.

Not heard the exact 20% figure for increased flow of exhaust gases due to the head modifications.

No performance gain with any kind of filter? Not convinced by that one. And as for the 'open filter' being a problem due to increased heat... heat shield?

I made notes, but not that many to be honest!

Oh, and the 18" JCW wheels meaning you have a slightly restricted steering lock, and therefore slightly larger turning circle. Hmmmmm.
