Offline | I have heard a friend of my mum's has changed their mini cooper for a MX-5, what is the world coming to. I ask you why you would change one of the best handling cars for a MX-5. |

Offline | Does the MINI hold it value there, like here in the US? If they do, the Mazda dealer will probably be able to sell the MINI for more than sticker (if it's clean). There is a BMW dealer here near Wash DC that is reselling "used" MC and MCS for more than new because some people are willing to pay more for not waiting. -=Mike=- laissez les bons temps rouler |

Offline | Re: Shock Horror Errm, the MX-5 is one of the best handling cars in the world.... Autocar "Britain's Best Driver's Car Under £15k", 30 April 2003. MX-5 is number 1. MCS is not. Sorry, I drive both MC and MX-5 and have to say the latter handles brilliantly. My Cooper also handles well, but can't match the MX-5 for steering feel. The MINI wins hands down on refinement, build quality, equipment and safety though. |

Offline | doesnt the MX-5 use the same or a very similar gear box to that of the MINI? never driven one, but always assumed that both cars are of high stature when it comes to handling. But aye, MINI is best ![]() |

Offline | I think you'll find that there is quite a large cult following for the MX5, all over the world. There is another thread here somewhere where a guy waiting for his mini to arrive went and test drove the MX5 and nearly changed his mind. My sister has always wanted one but now that she has been cruising around in my mini she sounds like she has changed her mind. The comment of the womens sports car!! Not this little lady, would take one for a drive but would never buy one. MINI ALL THE WAY!! |
