PDC First Build Week? - Important Please Help - MINI Cooper Forum

Can anyone tell me the first build week PDC was fitted to the Cooper.

The reason?

We are in dispute with our dealer as car was delivered without PDC (this was our second car due to incorrect specification) We accepted the car as didn't want to wait and run in a third car on the condition the dealer retro-fitted the PDC. We have now asked for it to be fitted at 1st service and dealer now denies PDC was left off order and says it wasn't fitted as it wasn't available at the time. I am 99.9% certain this is untrue and is contrary to their admission of fault at the time but if I can prove our car was built after PDC was available it will be a great help in conjunction with paperwork I have from the time.

I have PDC and my build date was May 17, 2002.

It was an available option in March 2002. The Cooper Demonstrator I tried on the 16th.March 2002 had it on. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

It is what BMW refer to as the 'build week' I need to know ie what was the first build week it was available.

Annoying thing is I did find this out at the time - thats why I am so sure I am right - but as the dealer was honourable over their first mistake it never ocurred to us they would not stick to their word over this one.
