| Let's Motor. | I agree, my passengers never figure out the pulling twice mechanism. They're always like "it's locked", so I reply nicely, "LEMME SHUT OFF THE DAMN CAR FIRST!" ![]() Personally if it was just me in the car, the auto-locking wouldn't be an issue, but its because of passengers that can never quite figure out what to do, that I'm tired of telling people, I'd just prefer to drive without it. ![]() |

Offline | Tonight a friend and I went out to dinner. We went in her car (to my dismay). Habitual as we humans are, I tugged at the door pull twice before I got out of the car! I had to laugh at myself. ![]() "Sunshine and Peace." - Maxamini ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | i have the same "bad habit." when i ride with a friend, i would pull on the door handle numerous times trying to get out only to find that the door is still locked, so i'd yell out "hey, why did you lock me in" until someone reminds me to use the switch like a normal person. ![]() |

Offline | A reason to use the auto-locking feature Got a kind of scary story to tell you. This actually happened to me when I got my car for about 2 weeks or so. One night I was stopping at an interaction waiting for green light, a person approached to my car saying he got a sick sister just a few blocks away and wanted to ask for a ride (I was on the lane close to the curb) but before I gave him any response he immediately tried to open my passenger's door! I was so freaked out but LUCKILY because of the auto-lock thing he couldn't get in of course and I just refused him to get in and drove on as the green light came. Anyway since then I felt safe at night only when my doors are locked -- and the auto-lock helps me do the job ![]() |

Offline | I like the locking feature. Car doors should be locked when motoring - not to keep people out, but to keep people IN on the twisties. I've seen people fall out of their car DURING accidents, and it's not a pretty thing. Besides, it gives me a chance to see if I can lock the doors while still in my driveway. ![]() |
