Ooops - Sold old car, no MINI yet.

Just as the the title says.

My MINI is coming in a bit later than I anticipated, so for the next week I will have no car at all. My old car is being transferred on Wednesday (I'll miss her).

I have just found out my MINI is visiting New Jersey for the time being, and is at least a week away from showing up. I guess I'll be bumming rides from friends and my wife for a bit.

Now I'm just more excited waiting for my MINI to get here.

This happened to me, I sold my old car before I recieved my MINI but thankfully the delivery date was bought forward so I didn't end up waiting too long.

You guys think you have it bad?

My miata sold in two days(!) after I advertised it, which was before Easter. I expected it to take all summer at the asking price I had. My MINI S isn't due until September at the earliest, maybe as late as November!!!

So for now my wife and I are sharing the Jeep Liberty (talk about big differences) and I'm riding a bicycle a lot. It is just a good thing she doesn't work and my little girl isn't in school yet, or it would be REALLY bad.

It is really hard for me not to go pay a premium at another dealership to get an S sooner, but I have principles. Gotta keep telling myself that!

Really, the week without a car isn't too bad.
Start with 8 days of waiting (optimistic timing).
I work from home 2 days a week.
Two weekend days the wife and I go anywhere together.
I have arranged for the three days of this week to get a ride with a co-worker.
That's only one day left to figure out what to do...I might drop the wife off at work a bit early and then just have her car for the day...

The biggest problem is I work 25 miles from where I live, and lets just say Cincinnati doesn't have the greatest public transportation. I just hope this next week goes faster than the last five months.
