MINIs in the wet?

Getting a Cooper with the 17" S-spokes, coming in 2 months. What will it be like in the wet? Would AST-C be beneficial? I drove with it on in a test drive the other day and it didn't flick on once, but would it be useful in the wet/snow etc, and does it improve overall handling?

Opinions please! :-) I'm just over budget (£15k) as it is at the moment so I don't wanna spend unnceccessary extra money!

:-)

Can you live with a blank space where the ASC+T toggle would be?

Worth thinking about.

It is definitely worth it in poor weather, IMO. ASC+T has reeled me in a few times.

DCS vs. ASC+T

In the Wet with DCS was a dream.

On a Auto-X course - raining Cats & Dogs, drove the course as fast as I could and never had the sense that it was cutting throttle ( like it has on occasion ), just Point and shoot !
Then we tried it again with DCS off and there was a Huge difference, I had to do all the work...
