I just can't believe it. My new MCS finally rolled off the transport truck at the dealer this afternoon. My sales advisor Earnest gave me a call and I drove right over to get a first look. Here is the cool part. The office where I work is located almost directly behind our local dealer (Checkered Flag in Virginia Beach, VA) so I was able to see the car virtually minutes after it was unloaded. It looks great. I snapped a few photos and will post them soon. I am supposed to pick up the car this Friday. I can't wait!

Just noticed, how come you're missing that little cap to the rear tow cable thing?

From what I understand they remove that so that the tie down anchor can be threaded in to that hole to secure the car during transport. I went back to take a look at it today and it has already been installed. I noticed that it was missing from all the MINI's that came in with mine. I guess they store it in the car and install it during prep.
I am going to pick it up on Friday morning.

Yes, they are using the area behind the old Toyota dealership to store the cars before they prep them. Ernest told me that many MINI's were scratched while waiting down at the BMW lot, so they decided to start offloading them at the old Toyota dealership. I hope to meet you in person at the meet. I don't think that you'll have to do too much to convince me to get a Whalen knob. It's just a matter of dollars right now. Thanks for the kind words.
