thought i would just tell everyone how fast i got me car,

ordered it march and it came in may

Wow... thats a fast waiting period, hopefully the break-in period will go just as fast!

I got my march 02 cooper in march 02, and i got my April 03 cooper in april 03

Got my January 2003 build Cooper on the 14th January 2003 apparently it was built the week before I got it. It doesn't take long to deliver in the UK

H'mm I was told three weeks after build before i'd get mine !!... is that another dealer porkie ?!?!... especially as I should have been driving it by now !!!!

I went into the dealers on the 4th January 2003 to check on my order, they checked on their systems and they said it had not been built yet so it couldn't have been built much before the delivery date of the 14th January - Maybe some dealers get quicker deliveries than others.

If you push your dealer they can get it faster

Basically once the car reaches the delivery centre it's up to the dealer to get it sent down to them and all the PDIs done.
Usually what happens is they wait until they've got enough cars for a transporter before they order their cars to be delivered. So your car can be sitting around at the delivery centre for a while

I got my car 10 days after it was built because I pushed my dealer to sort it all out a.s.a.p.

My mate wants to order a cooper but we are now unsure of delivery dates/waits at the moment. Has anyone ordered a car in May???....when were you told delivery would be??

Ordered mine last Saturday...

Got the last build slot for June apparently..
so... round about the end of June for delievery, give or take!
WOOHOO!!!

No... I'm not hyper excited..... yet....

One of the guys at my work ordered his cooper last week from Menzies in Stirling and was told early June for delivery. I ordered my One on April 17th and took delivery May 16. The plate on the iner wing has the date as May 03. Menzies told me delivery is one week after its built. Don't know if this is any help.

That sounds about right. My Feb 03 build was delivered on Feb 10th, but I had to wait until March 1st for the new reg!
