| MINI2 Senior | Opinions on a MCS Please!! Hi people, This is my first post I am selling my MG ZR and buying a MCS. I have put a deposit on the car in the picture. It costs 17495GBP and has:Electric Blue Metallic White roof and mirror caps Full Leather - Blue/black Elec Panoramic Sunroof Park Distance Control Automatic Air conditioning Radio Boost 6 Disc Boot Changer Cooper S Chili Package MINI TLC until November 2007 So you think that is a good price? It was made in Nov 2002 and has 4.5K on the clock. Also, could someone please confirm that i made the right decision on colour, as i am beginning to think EB looks a bit effeminate Also, would someone with experience of the panoramic sunroof tell me if it's any good? Thanks in advance, Henry |

Offline | Nice car supercoopers. Price sounds about right as you've got a fair few extras on there. Don't worry about the colour, it looks great, especially with the 17"s. Enjoy S |

Offline | OBEHAVE is gonna be hacked that you called his car's color effeminate. Just kidding, but don't worry about the color: Lot's of very masculine guys like it. Add Cooper S stripes and it'll be even cooler! 2nd "Go not to the elves for counsel for they will say both no and yes." JRR Tolkien Last edited by 2nd Mini : May 21st, 2003 at 10:13 PM. |

| MINI2 Senior | Hiya, Thanks for the quick and replies and constructive compliments I am feeling alot better now about the colour, especially as it brightens up a dark day so very well.About the panoramic sunroof...can anyone shed any light on its functionality and whether or not it is worth having? The last thing i want from my MCS is a leaky and noisy sunroof which serves no other purpose other than acting as a sieve and making the car less rigid. I know how a bad sunroof can affect a car, i've been there, done that and got soaked in my MG Thanks, Henry |

Offline | I've got the sunroof and love it. Never a leak yet and it's gone through many a rain. (We've only had 3 days without rain so far this May.) Plus there's nothing that lifts your spirits when leaving a dreary day at work than driving home with the sunroof and windows open with a good tune on the radio. Mims |

Offline | There simply is no better way to enter a car on a hot day than holding down the wings button on the remote for "comfort opening" as you walk up, opening up the sunroof, and letting all the accumulated heat go right out the roof. Another cool application for the sunroof is tilting it up without running it back and using it as a vent. This is much quieter than running with the windows open (especially with trucks beside you) if you are wanting to listen to the stereo. I take my stereo listening VERY seriously because I'm and audio engineer by trade. Now, I've only had my MCS for a couple of months but I've been very impressed with the fit and finish and the quietness of the whole sunroof affair. It's very nice indeed. This from a guy who had to be talked into the sunroof by his wife. "Go not to the elves for counsel for they will say both no and yes." JRR Tolkien |

Offline | I thought they had dropped the price as it was over £18000 last time I saw it. Well done!! They keep trying to tempt me to buy an "S", but they won't you know.....................not yet anyway!! I'm thinking of booking a test drive in their "WORKS" S demo they've just converted. Trouble is I think I'm in love with my cooper!!! ![]() |

Offline | The sunroof is wonderful. Brings so much light into the cabin even when closed. Mine is open almost any time I drive. You actually get MORE headroom with the sunroof , a nice plus. Enjoy ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Don't worry R1, i've already got that base covered ![]() Just so people who are interested know, the car i am buying is not the 18.5 grand car. That has sat nav and a few other extras which i don't feel are worth the extra grand for my needs. Besides, i know the guy who sold it back to the dealer, and he always liked to drive his MCS and M3 hard everywhere he went. The car shown was new in on the day i went round for a second nosey. I fell in love. It's like we were meant for one another ![]() Regards, Henry |
