Offline | MINI Heaven - 1300 km in 11.5 hrs I have coveted the new MINI since its introduction. Finally, last week I picked up my Pure Silver 02 S (3,000 km) from a private seller in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The drive back to Calgary was fantastic. The tracking and handling, IMO, are superb. I found the sports seats to be perfect and honestly, I could have continued past my home city and driven all the way to Vancouver, BC. The car has no rattles or any other problems so, so far, so good. For a small car, it feels much more spacious and solid when you are behind the wheel. I can't tell you how happy I am with this car - I look forward to drving it all the time. ![]() |

Offline | Prairie Roads Harry - yes, the wide open Canadian prairies - very straight and flat (and numerous radar traps as a result). I live near the mountains and do look forward to curves and varied terrain. A friend of mine with a BMW Z3 advised me to take BMW's all day high-peformance driving course to get the most out of my MINI. I plan to look into it. ![]() |
