I have read alot on mini2 over the past few days since I put my order in for my silver MC.
I see alot of things people would like improved, some hassles people have had to deal with, some really nice things and some really awful things.
But would you buy your mini today knowing what you know?
I have owned and driven my Silver/Black MC for about 18 months now and apart from some relatively minor niggles that had to be sorted I am very glad I bought it.
I use it every day for short runs and long runs and I have had a load of FUN driving it.
When driving around Wales or Derbyshire Peak District on twisty, hilly roads its great.
I also have had a lot of pleasure out of my MC!

It's a MINI Jim - but not as we know it!
My MCS is currently in the shop to get the coolant bottle replaced, yet I would buy one again in a heartbeat (albeit with a slightly different option configuration). How's that for enthusiasm?
After 11 months of wonderful ownership, last month was tough with some door lock problems and then I had my gearbox replaced but still, when it runs well it runs like nothing else so yes, I'd buy it again knowing what I know now. I came into this eyes wide open, knowing it was a first-year car and knowing that in general, sporty european cars come with more reliability issues than many others. The car still pleases me to no end on the road, 100% composed at speeds and during maneuvers where it has no right to be so composed. I gladly traded some reliability for that.

Indeed I would - AND (as if I don't already have enough) I'd be able to have some of the options that I wanted but weren't available when I took delivery of mine (even after a year of waiting)
