United-Kingdom Top Tinted Windscreens

Just working out what extras to get for my new silver Mini Cooper - anyone know what the Top tinted windscreens look like? Worth it? Do they look cool? Not thinking about any tints to the other windows.

Don't bother, I added it my car and now wished I had saved the £50. It only tints about the top couple of inches of the screen in quite a pale tint. You have to look quite hard to see it.

I was wondering if you had the tint done by BMW or privately? I was thinking about it but the contractors that BMW use in my area dont actually do the top tint.

Also, have you had the rest of your windows tinted?

No I had it in my previous car and it is pretty useless, when it is sunny you will have the sun visor down anyway

It is one of the factory options that was introduced for the 2003 models, so arrived at the dealer with it.

No, and if I had it wouldn't have matched as it is a blue colour, even if you could see it.

I ordered my car prior to the 2003 model changes being announced, but the build date was after the changes. So after I found from this board that it was available I added it, without having seen it. I thought that it would answer my concerns over the sun visors being a bit too small.

To be honest it doesn't help at all, and is hardly noticeable.

If anybody want's to see what it looks like, I can dig my camera out later and post a picture.

Hi PMM,

Yep, a pic would be good.......

Like you, I thought this would be a good idea due to the sunvisor size, love to see what its like !
