And no... its not a Mini, but it still is a beauty!

She got a 2004 Matrix XR. I gotta say, that car is amazing, took it for a spin and its soo smooth (10 times smoother than my Mini). Looks awesome, and the interior is really nice too.

I feel like driving my Mini more and more ever since she got it, but I don't know if thats possible with all the driving I do already!

Is the XR the model with the 180 Hp i-vtec motor? Same as the Celica GTS. Toyota builds a fine car. I traded in a RAV4 on my MINI. The only issue I had with the newer Toyota's are the large number of interrior rattles. Our RAV was a 2001 and the rattles and buzzing drove me nuts. Other than that, 50k error free miles.

Well, I don't want to disappoint you, but you might be disappointed anyway if you bought a mini go get RID of interior rattles...

The Matrix probably cornors like a bus.
Having a smooth ride has to compromise something. Smooth and supple on the straights usually means not so flat cornoring.

I really don't know how it handles, didn't really test it out that much.

I'll get back to everyone on how it corners, but I doubt it corners anything like a Mini!
