Great encounter with a TVR Tuscan Speed Six!

I was trying to complete my 1200 mile break-in period today before my car goes to the dealer for door repainting and break-in checkup tomorrow. At one traffic light I saw a black TVR Tuscan Speed Six (wheee, the car is not even sold in Germany!) behind me. I wanted to banter the driver a little bit, made a swift launch and reved the gears up to my 4.5k limit. After he had done a rather unhurried start he was very close behind me after about 300 meters, but had to back off before a turn because of bad visibility. I gave him a short sprint behind the turn, but of course he killed me without any effort on the following long straight. On the next traffic light and because of a very slow Fiesta we got together again, pulled next to each other and I gave him the thump-up. He simply grinned at me.

Not really an honest race nor very spectacular, but simply two car enthusiasts enjoying themselves and their British motorcars.

Break-in checkup? My dealer doesn't want to see me for the first year! I'm jealous. Yet another difference in world markets.

Itīs not on the official schedule, but we have done a 2k oil change with all our new cars and I simply want that 5W30 broth out of my engine!

TVR Speed six vs MINI...

TVR wins without breaking into a sweat.

Decidedly NOT a MINI adventure.

I think the TVR driver might of needed to press the gas pedal instead of letting the engine idle! ;-P

I live down the road from the TVR factory and have been taken around a few times. Best memory is of the speed 12 - awesome car.
