Should I get the Mini paint touch-up kit?

Hey everyone, after finding several stone chips on my bonnet, and recently getting hit by a damn stone by a stupid truck today on my door, I want to fix up all these little chips. Is the Mini paint touch-up kit really that good? I have heard good things, and bad.

Please feel free to share your opinions!

I would also like feedback. Does the the black have a clear laquer the same as metallics?, if so then do you get a black (or whatever)colour paint and then a clear coat to finish it off?

I think it comes with the actual colour and then a clear coat to finish it off.

But that still begs the question, is it worth it and does it work well?

I have the silver touch up which was needed after the Chiltens run earlier this year, seems a good match to me.

Hey MiniMan, Last week I had to get a new windscreen due to a huge crack from a stone and at the same time I got the bodyshop guy to use the touch up kit for some chips. It worked ok. I notice.... but then I'm very critical

Yes, and you do get a stick of clear coat with the solid black too.

Yes, you should get it. However, you should also get a product called LANGKA. what Langka does is remove the excess blob from the touch up paint.

I was very skeptical of their claims on their website. However, the stuff actual works like it says. For two-part touch paint like we have, you mix a small amount of the clear coat and color coat paints together and then apply that to your car. Then use Langka to get rid of the excess blob.

BTW - the Chili Red does not match worth a damn. Too dark. Hopefully the other colors are better.

I got the MINI touch up paint, used it once and threw it out. JUNK, IMHO. Like most touch up brushes it's very difficult to work with.
Got the Auto Visuals touch up felt tip pen and LOVE IT.
Try them at www.autovisuals.com
My front aero kit looked like hell after the winter. The touch up pen was so fast and easy to use.
If you order it tell them you want the .80 cent shipping option. Not sure what the cheap shipping option is to Canada.
