Offline | NEW:- 17's and SS OR 17's and SS+? Sorry to repeat but I want to do a poll ![]() Tried a cooper s with the 17's and also a cooper with the 17's and SS+ and, while firm, they didn't seem too firm, but then again I didn't try them for very long. Haven't got chance to try a cooper with 17's and SS before I have to make up my mind with my dealer! So, what are the 17's and SS+ like to live with long-term? I want good, sharp handling, but also a smooth/relatively comfortable ride when I'm not ragging it round the twisties, especially on not-so-good roads on the way to work every day etc. I tried a coop with 16's and SS+ and it seemed bouncy in comparison to the other two, so I guess the bounceiness/sure-footedness is more to do with the difference in tyres than the suspension? Is there really much difference between the 17's (runflats) with SS and with SS+? The roads round here are in quite bad condition, and the only roads I tried were good roads on the test drive routes. I just want to see the bigger picture. Would you get the SS+ or not? I'm DEFINITELY getting the 17's, no question. But I dunno about the suspension! Opinions please!! :-) |

Offline | I have driven 17's with standard SS for a year. I recently swapped in the SS+ rear swaybar to give me a nice everyday ride and great handling in corners. It's a great combo and highly reccommended. FYI: If you get the 17's as a dealer upgrade ask if you can have the stock 15's since they may have been included with your car originally. |
