Offline | MINI Facelift For '04 Models??? Automobile magazine says that BMW has two changes for MINI in '04...the convertible and a "facelift" for the MINI. Anybody have any idea about this "facelift"? Ken Shapiro Electric Blue w/ Sport Package...first "S" delivered in Maryland (5/10/02) I've been everywhere but the electric chair...I've seen everything but the wind. |

Offline | That's the first time I heard about that one also. I am assuming they are talking about new colors to the range as well as options. I don't expect any radical changes to a car that was introduced to the US market just 15 months ago...why mess with success? 2004 model year info will not be released by MINIUSA until the end of the summer or around August. I am in a waiting list for a new '04 MCS so I am really eager to find out what the new year has in store for new 2004 owners to be. Offline | If memory serves, it right here in a thread here on MINI2. Do a search for Wheel and Munich (where the photo was taken) and 3 spoke and you should find it. ![]() + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |

Offline | When the MINI was first launched, the official word from BMW was the long-range plan was to periodically evolve the exterior design over time -- but at the same time to keep it completely recognizable as a MINI. To illustrate this, they used the example of the Porsche 911. The 911 has changed over the 40 years, but every version (912, 935, 996, etc.) is still instantly recognizable as a member of the Porsche 911 model line. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |

Offline | Arrrggghhhh My MCS is due on September 1st and all this talk about the 2004 model is making me think should I ring the dealer and wait. What do you think? Do you guys think the steering wheel will be the main change? Any other rumours? I'm gonna be gutted if I decide not to wait and then theres something really special added but then again I can't be arsed to wait another month Decisions decisions Greg |
