Hi

I have had my Cooper for 18 months and has done 15k and is due in 3k its second service, i have noticed that in 18 months muy little Millie has not used a drop of oil which is great i was wondering if this is the same across the board.

My 318se 2001 for the first 40k used about 1 litre of oil every 2-3k which is crap

5000 miles and still on "full"

The other new cars we have had have also all been ok on oil, although some engines seem to use it until they are fully run in as the old 16V golf GTI used to, used lots at first and then stopped completely

mine went into both its services full of oil...

beemer isn't the same though, but isn't bad at all

Same here. My cooper is at 10,000km now and hasn't lost a drop of oil. Impressive...

can't say the same.......done 6,000 miles since november in my cooper and i've topped up twice.......about half a litre in total..... but it is driven hard

I topped up half a quart about 2500 miles after my oil change at 3500 miles. It's been fine ever since.
