Green Cooper Here's a good way to wrap up this thread I started

About ten weeks ago, I started this thread. It was one of my first three threads I opened on MINI2.

At the time, I was considering buying a BRG MCS with white roof, bonnet stripes, and 16" wheels. Yesterday, I picked up the car that I have been thinking of as I tried to sleep at night all those weeks. After ten -- sometimes agonizing -- weeks, here is my new MINI. Thank you to all of you who provided your insight, guidance and advice via this enormously valuable board.

I hope to offer my help to those who are just starting out on this board, as well as those who have been around a while with their MINI.

I try not to be sentimental or emotional about a 2500 lb. hunk of metal, fluids, plastic and rubber, but I am glad to finally have my car and I have loved driving it over the two days I've had it. I know it's unlikely that my ownership of it will not be without some hiccups and maintenance issues, but so far, so good, after 170 miles and I can only be hopeful for the next 100,000 miles.

Cheers and happy motoring to us all!

Great thread, gorgeous cars! Congrats on getting yours, sacamano!

While I like all the MINI colors, something bright like an IB or CR just isn't "me." The PS/B combination is nice, but I see too many silver cars to be too exicited about owning a PS. The BRG, however, is just right, and I'm planning to order one in the next couple months.

Hmm. Was planning on passing on the factory bonnet stripes...but...the more I look at pics of black stripes on the BRG, the more I like 'em.

I love the colour and the white bonnet stripes really make it.

my BRG is in my gallery although it actually looks black in the pics - I put this down to my scanner not being super duper and losing the picture quality. But believe me, it really is racing green!

There'll be a new addition to the BRG family in a couple of weeks when I pick up my MC. It arrived at the dealers today so went to see it. It looked great, despite being covered in the delivery protection bits and pieces.

I'll hopefully get some pictures posted shortly after taking delivery.

Cheers
