Hey,
Look what I found, if you read the first part like CONS, you might get mad. The whole write up is sad.

Hardly worth reading, as the author is obviously biased.

What you have to realize is that not everyone is going to like the Mini. Take it with a grain of salt. If you read all of his "review" he waxes on about "American Muscle" a real "V8", all he talks about is going in a straight line. If you go to the comments he states he drives a Caddy STS and talks about having sex in the car.
Let's give him a review:
He lives at home with mommy and daddy (hence that reference to being able to have sex in a car).
He's leasing this car so big-haired chicks from the 80's think he's cool (hey baby, it's a caddy and I can't afford to buy anything).
He has every Bon Jovi cassette that was released(wadda ya mean they have cds, what's a cd?).
He has insecurities with his manhood(after a disappointing encounter in the car he tells her "but babe, 150mph is still faster than 135mph").
That should just about sum it up!

The idiot doesn't even realize that it was Renault, not Peugeot, who built Le Car.

Then again, perhaps that whole review was a misguided attempt at humour?

A freudian psychologist would interpret his 'anti-minism' as a threat to his manlyhood and masculinity.

When he sits in his V8 he feels like a man. He feels big and superior, probably a substitute for his situation downstairs. Cars are often referred to as male penis extensions.

And here we have a mini, A small car with small engine. But the fact that it does perform both in speed and especially handling threatens our muched loved reviewer's masculinity.

The mini is attacking what he knows and feels secure in (V8 muscle cars). the fact that it is a small car makes it seem even more pathetic to him.

Basically its like saying my penis is bigger than yours but at the end of the day hes in bed with a dirty tart and the mini owner's at home with his supermodal girlfreind.

If it dont make sense its freud.

Like he said he's never owned a BMW, but seems to know a lot about the two most dangerous "almost cars" ever made. Oh, by the way look around ,"bellbottoms" are back. And where does he drive his rented Caddy 150 mph?
I didn't buy my MCS to have sex in.
The car is a joy to drive, and the looks are a bit "Retro" which I happen to think adds to it.Itzamazn

This gives me a great idea for a MINI window decal.

"Yes, I'm that big!"

I think that this whole review is just to wind people up and illicet vitriolic replies - no one can be that stupid, after all....

I think its just best to ignore it all together. He certainly doesn't make a living out of writing reviews.

Mildly amusing, if it was meant to be a joke he needs to work on his rhetoric a bit more. What is funny is some of the replies, people need to get a humour chip replaced....

Nparker I think you've summed him up - plus throw in some Xenophobia - Homophobia ( mind you he doesn't mention who he wants sex with ) and hatred of everything that happened in the world since 1972 - I feel I know him so well!!!

Thumbs down Idiot Reviewer

I agree that the reviewer of this article is a complete moron. And technically, BMW does not make the engine. Actually the engine is designed by Chrysler.

The only point I will agree with the author on is my only real concern with buying a MINI ( I am to take delivery next month ). It's size from a potential accident issue. That is a scary thought but I plan to drive as defensively as possible and hope for the best. Back in 1975 I was t-boned luckly on the passenger car in my Vega by some moron running a red light in a firebird. I was knocked out and thus have a back issue as a result. Fortunately no one was with me or they would have been killed instantly. Other than that, I have no expected issues with this great carand can't wait to take delivery!!

That review was so full of crap that it drew me outta my hole.

The only thing he knows about the car and its history is when they were made, otherwise he would know why the speedo is in the middle. Besides, if all cars had speedos in the middle and the MINI had them behind the wheel it would still be weird. Its called relativity you *****!

And I'm sorry it cant get up to 150 on the highway, where the speed limit is 70ish.

Yes, and his opinion about crashing a mini. How would he know what would happen if it was hit by an escalade going 35mph. Has this happened to him? Probably not, he has no clue and no right to say such a thing.

There are people in this world that I wish I could shoot (I love social darwinism) and if I met him, he would probably be one.
