Offline | OUCH! I know how you all feel having just done this myself about 10 minutes ago whilst trying to get out of the way of an ambulance. It great news that you can get 'em fixed, but the damage to mine is more of a chunk than a scrape, in fact I'm pretty sure that I've left some of the wheel still attached to the pesky 8" kerb that they have around here. Anyway, the alignment seems ok and I was going pretty slow so hopefully no suspension damage, but the scrape is about 3 inches long and an inch wide. Is it likely that damage this bad can be fixed? If not, any idea how much a new 16" 5 spoke costs? ![]() |

Offline | The transport company that brought my car out to me instantly drove my MCS up ONTO a curb when unloading it from the truck. 2+ months later and they're still giving me the runaround about paying for it!...just got off of the phone with them again a few minutes ago. I hadn't even driven the car yet and it was already damaged, right before my eyes. ![]() |

Offline | As long as you have not bent the rim I don't see why they can't fix it. Some of the wheel was left on the kerb when I did it and they have used some sort of filler to put the shape back. |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | The person who repaired my wheel mentioned that he has a filler that is made to strongly bond to alloy. He described using it on wheels that have had quite large chunks banged out of the wheel. The filler is applied and then ground to fit and to blend into the existing material. He claims that once finished it can't be told from the original. |

Offline | I curbed the front passenger wheel too a few days ago. Could hit myself twice with the biggest hammer! Will they (garage) be able to fix it in one day, because my car is due for its first service probably next week. |
