Offline | To stripe or not to stripe - that is the question! Hi, while out sorting the rattles in my car with masking tape, i came across some silver viper stripes which i brought a while back. I was thinking of just fitting the front stripes and converting them into cooper style stripes - should i do it? please answer ![]() |

Offline | I wasn't sure about the stripes when my dealer was going to fit them, but when I saw it, I wouldn't own a MINI without them now!! They just look so plain!! ![]() |

Offline | right - well i just did it - and definitely didnt like it! - i fitted them with that special tool and it took only around 15 mins or so to get them perfect but somehow it doesnt look as striking with them being a black car so took them off. Oh well, never mind - i got the viper stripes cheap anyway but I lost the middle page somehow?!? - hence rendering them useless. |

Offline | Magnetic MINI Cooper S Stripes Take a look at these, Chughes163: eBay stripes I got myself a pair & think they're rather smart looking. The inventor is making these specifically for the Cooper or Cooper S models, thus they will fit perfectly. They're also members herein MINI2.com, thus, maybe they'll cut you a break on the pricing, to make them more affordable overseas. [You would be helping expand/advertise their product.] Since the wife didn't want them & I did, these Magnetic Stripes were brilliant solutions. Of course care must be used when installing them, - make sure both your bonnet & your stripes are clean, but otherwise they hold perfectly & one can't tell they're magnetic without very close inspection. good luck either way, -sb |
