I'm booked for Donington on the evening of Thursday 19th. I have to say I am a little bit nervous. I have looked at trackdays for the last two years and have finally plucked up the courage to book. Could be the start of an expensive new hobby.

Done one in someone elses MINI, and and an auto-test, but I'll be going on the croft track day for MINIs only soon. (see my sig for details).

I am trying to put together a track day at Road Atlanta in November.See southeast events.

There is a fairly new road course in Louisiana, halfway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. It's 1.8 miles with 14 turns. Called No Problem Raceway (for some reason). there's also plenty of amenities--garages, showers, etc.

They will rent out the track for $150 per hour, and you can split the cost between a few guys and flog your car around for awhile.

Unfortunately, New Orleans/Baton Rouge is hardly a hotbed of car nuts, so if anybody is passing through and wants to spend a great afternoon, let me know.

Sounds like we all like the idea of thrashing our 'pocket-rockets' round a race track but are a little apprehensive.

Me too!

Plucked up the courage to join a track day at Donnington (July 16th) run in conjunction with Evo magazine and MINI uk. Only £160 if you turn up in a MINI! There are gonna be a selection of MINI's including a JCW Cooper S available for hot rides.

Anyone up for it?

Hopefully we'll be all

and not

if we bin our pride and joys into the gravel!
