Offline | A while ago I encountered an industrial size bolt entering my rear tire (about 2 months of ownership). I wasn't that ennoyed at first. Then I went into my dealer to find a £195 bill for a new replacement tire. But what could I do? These runflats arnt cheap and not many places sell em'. So 6 months pass and I have finally put the event behind me. Looking forward to buying my spotlamps I have saved up for. This is the ironic part. Driving along and my punctured tire pressure light starts flashing on the dash. Someone had just stolen my valve caps so im thinking its due to that. Pull into my local shell garage checking pressures. Guess what...? Thers a frigin bolt sticking out my tire aint their. Just happens to be in the exact place as last time. Same tire, Same spot, Same bolt. Not so pleased this time! So no spotlamps....£200 replacement tire! ![]() |

| Let's Motor. | Ok, since we're complaining about the unluckiest MINI2'er, lemme toss in what I have been through, probably not nearly as bad as a few people, but very close. About a week after having my MINI, my brother takes it up to Waterloo with him where he attends university for the weekend. The same day I find out he was involved in a bad accident, luckily everyone was ok, but my MINI was very badly damaged. To make matters worse, the same day, I rupture my spleen in a football game and I get hospitalized for nearly 2 weeks, many tests and blood transfusions... wasn't a fun stay. About a month after I get out of the hospital, I get my MINI back from the bodyshop that was fixing her up. About a week later, my boot latch is really screwed up and decides just not to function (ie, I can't open the trunk). I bring it to my dealer and he orders the trunk latch from Germany which takes about a week to come in. (I drove a courtesy MINI for that week). About a month later, I realize my headlights are seriously screwed up and need massive readjustments. To make matters worse, my paint is fading on a panel, and the hood scoop looks much darker than EB. So in about a week, I have to go to the bodyshop, and have them respray a few panels, and have them fix the headlights which they left unaligned. And about 2 weeks ago, I curbed my rim which cost me about $600 to fix (don't really wanna complain about this because it was my own fault). And to top it all off, about a week ago, my coolant tank started leaking and I had to have it replaced. In all, I have gone through alot of stuff, some my own fault, but some stuff I just couldn't control, I have also had the pleasure of driving about 3 courtesy MINI's. Hopefully everything is all sorted out now and I can just get back to enjoying my MINI. ![]() Adam ![]() |

Offline | Actually that is pretty harsh mate. I feel your hurt, you should make your own thread. That whole smashed Mini and ruptured spleen day sucks big! Dom: They did change the tire (£200) but the newer tire of the four has suffered the same fate. Scooterman: When that person identifys themselve Il definately check with them, you no what Im saying! |

Offline | I was in and out of the dealer for dodgy power steering pipes or sumat. Everytime I went in there was a new problem Then the steering column went. Curbed my alloy on the first day I got my mini also, typical sods law! |
